RADICAL INCLUSION
Committed to radical inclusion from the start, GALWAD set out to change the story by changing the storytellers – with inclusive casting, multiple languages, accessible formats and a collaborative creative process involving over 400 creatives and communities across Wales.
GALWAD had a person-centred approach to access and inclusion and celebrated diverse participation. We worked with consultants from different communities to ensure the story was informed and created by a variety of lived experiences.
GALWAD was a multilingual production. Welsh, English and British Sign Language (BSL) were integral to the story, and were used throughout the creative process. We were committed to Deaf inclusion and designing a story that was inclusive for Deaf contributors and audiences.
